Summer 2020 driving school round up

I think everyone pretty much agrees that 2020 is one we want to see the back of. Hopefully lessons have been learnt and some sense of normality can resume. Here at A-Class Driving School we've been back up the road since the moment we were allowed. Getting all those cancelled tests re-booked and those not quite ready up to test standard.

Here's a little round up of some of the students who earned their licence post lock-down.

Daisy

Daisy lives in Stoke Bishop and had learnt quite a bit with her dad before I started teaching her back in March. She originally planned to take her driving test in April, however, due to Covid-19 it was finally rearranged for mid August.

Daisy passed with flying colours, picking up just two minors on her way round the test route.

Ian

The very next day after a successful restart to driving test passes, Ian stepped up for his. Being a local guy from Lawrence Weston, he knew the driving test area well. Coupled with his amazing driving talent, he nailed his driving test first time too!

Ian picked up just four minors on his way around the test route allowing him to chauffeur his wife, children and new puppy around.

This was my 15th consecutive first time pass.

Claire

Claire Cole passed her driving test just a few days later with the help of her driving instructor, Paul Hanley.

Claire had her test rearranged 3 times, so was ecstatic when she heard the words "congratulations" from her examiner.

Another first time passer and with just two minors makes this extra special.

For anyone looking to learn with Paul, give him a call on 0774 7101 973

He's starting to take bookings once again for intensive driving courses.

Didier

Didier comes from Clifton and started to learn with me back in 2019. He also had his test cancelled multiple times due to the pandemic, but knuckled down when it finally got rearranged.

After a very unfortunate tyre blow out the lesson before his big day, Didier managed to over come his nerves and passed his test at the first attempt.

Testimonials

Amelia

I have just passed my driving test on my 1st attempt which is all thanks to the legend that is Jim. I have had the absolute pleasure of his company for the last 3 months. I was a complete novice and like everyone else looked around for next available instructors. As soon as I spoke to him on the phone he put me at ease and I knew he was the one!! There is not enough words to describe how knowledgeable, professional and funny he is plus he is always good for a humbug or sherbet lemon, Jim is a true gent and a credit to A class. He genuinely wants to see you progress and succeed I am over the moon that I have passed, but I am also devastated that my time with Jim is over. Thank you for everything Jim.

Claire

Paul was a great teacher, allowing me to pass my test first time! Having no driving experience and no car to practice in, Paul got me from being nervous and apprehensive of driving to being confident and comfortable on the roads. Our lessons were interrupted due to COVID, and after four months off driving I was nervous to take the test. But after a few refresher lessons I was back to being calm on the road!! Can’t recommend him enough.

Didier

Starting off as a nervous driver, I owe a huge thanks to Will Dracott to helping me pass my driving test first time. A patient and friendly teacher he has helped me to develop my confidence on the road. Thanks again Will.

Ian

I could not recommend A Class driving school enough. Very professional and more importantly very patient. I was very apprehensive beginning my lessons but I felt at ease very quickly and my confidence grew each week through excellent communication and structure of the learning. 5 stars.

by Will Dracott 24 May, 2023
This blog post is the first of many online automatic driving lessons. We've had manual ones on the website for over ten years now and we're seeing a big transmission swing towards automatic classes as of late, so thought we'd start producing these for auto drivers.
